Just to throw a little chaos into the mix...
After many hours, the jet needle will wear down a bit right in the area
where you normally position the throttle from bouncing off the needle jet.
And the engine will gradually get slightly richer. If the number coding at
the top of the needle looks worn away, then there is a good chance that the
business area is also worn.
