I use about 10 degrees of flaperons every time I take off in my 801. I leave them down until I reach cruise. I find I get out shorter and climb faster.

As I always warn, if you are in a strong cross wind leave the flaps up!!!

About 3 years ago the factory changed the up setting on the flaperons. The plane actually flys a lot better with 2 or 3 degrees of flaperons down. It is just 3 or 4 MPH slower.

Try it you will like it.
