After seeing your plane, I'm not surprised. It was an easy choice for them. Congratulations!

James,
What weather? I'm way over in Oregon and looking at Nexrad weather. There are enough holes in that stuff to drive a 35-ship formation of Boeing 757's through without getting wet! Press on, Radar!

Well ...
I am sure Rick Gray would agree with you.
We made a stop to drop off his passenger and were to then proceed for about 20 minute to his home base. I would decide to go on from there or stay over night. Enroute, the visibility was not great and a local storm was picking up steam. I ha told myself that I would not get into rain until I fix the leak. Furthermore, earlier in the flight I was not feel to great (probably dehydrated and probably because I had not stopped to eat the day before).
I was simply too wasted to be flying in weather that was not "severe clear". So I said I was turning back. Being the nice guy he is, Rick would not press on home to wife and kids and leave his "wingman" to return on his own. So he ended up sitting for 4-5 hours waiting for the stuff to blow over while I took a nap and decided to get a hotel locally here at KPHD. (I **really** needed the rest as the day before was kinda interesting to say the least.)
I am hoping for a lot of reasons that I can make it home tomorrow.

James,
Rest up and fly safe. You couldn't find a nicer guy than Rick to hang with.

Not to mention that Rick is a fellow award winner for his RV-10, if I read correctly.
Larry, that award was well-deserved. YOu took your sweet time with Nifty, and it shows. Classy, fast airplane- congratulations.
Now, put a GPS tracker in her
