Yes, it has wx and traffic........in theory. I do not recall the
source on the wx. Traffic is ONLY what is detected by ground radar
(like TIS) plus other ADSB equipped aircraft. It does not detect other
transponder equipped aircraft that the radar doesn't see, nor any
non-transponder aircraft/birds, etc. For example, at Embry Riddle in
Prescott, there is only a center radar feed to the tower, and it
doesn't see the lower altitudes, plus tower has ADSB feed, so it can
see all of ER aircraft, but not necessarily other aircraft, given the
number of mountains in the area.

you compared it to a Garmin 496 with XRX and the $50/month XM subscription.
