Hey Guys,
Every once in a while we WARN others about companys that
"burnt or screwed us"....
This was "not" the case with my Narco AR850 Alt Encoder....
I bought it 3 years ago, installed it in the plane .....
When I finally went to "Certify" the unit , the Transponder checked out
but the encoder didn't.....( Oh Crap , $395 to replace )
I wrote to Narco Avionics ( Ft Washington, PA )
The guy looked up the records and knew the sale was 3 yrs old....
But I explained that I never used it....He told me to send it in....
They found a bad Voltage regulator in the unit....and they
replaced some other stuff too.....
I think they are a good company to buy from , because they'll
do what's right.....They realize that a builder will sometimes make
a purchase that might "sit" for a while....but as long as the unit didn't
show "wear" or abuse....they were willing to fix it FREE.....
