At 20 years old, Smith Reynolds piloted a Savoi Marchetti "flying boat"
17,000 miles from London to Hong Kong. One of two known remaining examples
of this aircraft has been restored and is on display at an exhibit at the
Reynolds Mansion in Winston Salem. The exhibit opened last night, and will
remain open until December. Smith's private pilot certificate, signed by
Orville Wright is part of the display.

Tomorrow at 3:30 one of the chief architects will give a talk about the
project. Consider going.
