Getting ready to put in the manual trim cable, can't figure out how to get
the big nut off the control end. Do you need to completely remove the
trim knob and attachments?

Mine had a nut on the back side of the control which when taken off and with
the knob pushed fully in exposed a bicycle control cable type of round slug
that could be rotated and removed leaving the control free of the cable.

Ok, was easier than I thought, was just afraid to take it too far apart
and not be able to get it back together again.
