I was looking for a way to cover the exhaust ports on the engine, while it was hanging on the plane as we work our way through the Firewall Forward section. I didn’t have enough of those little custom covers that bolt on, but I found that a common lid from a can of spray paint works pretty well. You can flex it to get it over both bolt studs, and the ensuing tension keeps it in place. I put some desiccant crystals in the bottom of the lids for good measure.
