HI CHET
MY SRAWING ON PAGE 6-W-1, SRAWING NO 1 SHOWS A MEASURMENT OF 40MM DOWN AND 80MM BACK FROM THE TOP CORNER (ONLY 90 DEG CORNER) OF THE FLAP RIB. THE DRAWING JUST BELOW IT SAYS TO MOUNT THE NYLONPLATE AT A 90 DEG ANGLE TO THE BOTTOM ON THE RIB. HOPE THIS HELPS

Hi Folks, I am installing my flaps and would like some info on how to connect the flap to the actuator arm. I am having trouble getting measurements to drill the hole in the nylon control plate. Thanks.

now i get the nylon plate, took a senior monent. install the flaps at very last. use the measurements provided in the plans on the arm throws for servos. 65 to 185 mm. next follow plans for drilling location for nylon plate. do not drill arm to flap rod yet. just slide the flaps and cleco in place at neutral zero flap position. make sure to install the flap nylon stops. once flaps are set at zero setting go under the plane and mark where the arm hits the two flap pipes. scrib it then take back to shop and drill. after drilling, cleco flap back on and put the arm and pipes all together and screw. then check the throws on flaps by turning on the motor and adjusting the servos to suite the throws you want. when all is working according to plan, then rive the flaps as the lasty thing.

Juan, you know the slab of white nylon plate located on the end of the flap that didn't fit the measurements from Zac's plans, that we had to move about five times before we found out were they should really be located. That nylon plate. Remember? Best regards, Bill of Georgia
