The weather forecast is looking quite good for Friday. Is anyone interested in another DOTH whilst the weather is still good? This time I will check to confirm availability of a cafe/restaurant at the chosen airfield. There is quite a selection of possible destinations with free landings in both Flyer and Pilot. Does anyone have any preferences as to where we go?

Hi Nigel,

Weather permitting! Not too far south, and I will endevour to make it.

I am not fussed about it being a freebie.

Cheers.

Bryan

PS. I understand that some are unaware that "DOTH" means "at the drop of a hat", i.e., " rendezvous with little warning".

Hi! Nigel
There’s no ”freebies” but a good Café facility why not try Wickenby (EGNW) in lieu of absent suggestions.?
Not sure I can get out of my rt.hd. seat yet with my damaged shoulder, and I have some cooling air flow work to undertake prior to another flight. I’m wanting to call a “doth” for Rochester on a Sunday to meet with Ivor but the wx looks poor for this weekend.
I’m planning to be at Wickenby tomorrow anyway.
Regards

Is anyone else interested in a DOTH tomorrow apart from Bryan and myself? Assuming there is no one who has already been to Panshanger recently I am considering trying there again but will confirm the cafe is open this time before setting off. There is a risk of fog tomorrow morning which may be a problem if it is slow to clear. I will be contactable either on my home number (01380 860620) or my mobile (0776 4579 860) during the morning. It is best to try my home number first as there is no mobile signal within my house.

If tomorrow proves to be a problem with weather I will look at Saturday as a possibility. I also have Wednesday, Thursday and Friday off next week should the weather be good then.

Regards

Nigel Charles

Hi Bob

It is getting quite foggy here this evening. The forecast for Lyneham tomorrow indicates that the fog might not clear until late morning (assuming it does clear at all). With the relatively short daylight window after the fog clears we might be OK for a trip up to Panshanger but up to you may be a bit ambitious. Maybe another time.

Regards

Nigel

Looking at the forecasts, tomorrow will be the last chance for several days

Hi Nigel

What about a DOTH at Wycombe Air Park ? Voucher in Flyer.

Restaurant is good.

If you decide on Panshanger let me know and I will drive
over - It will take longer to open up the hanger and pull
out G-OWWW than it will be to drive there ! I didn't make
Monday as i was otherwise engaged.

Richard says,

"What about a DOTH at Wycombe Air Park ? Voucher in Flyer."

I do not take the Flyer now, but I am happy with it.

Let's see what tomorrow brings.

Hi Richard

We ended up at Booker on Monday so we would prefer to stay with
Panshanger. Hope to see you there.

Nigel
