Why would anyone want to do that? Just curious.

if you taxi with the wings open, it opens the doors for a lot of fun when
there is a bunch of snow on the taxi ways. Get yourself going and hit one
brake and get it sliding sideways, real fun.

Jee, some of you guys take the fun right out of everything. Then again, what would you do if this happens to you when you have no idea what would happen when it happens. But hay, I'm having fun, and I'm not doing it very fast, about walking speed, and there is snow everywhere, that's what we have now.
I tried getting clearance for the sod, it has about 4 inches of snow, the tower called the appropriate people and they said no. Rats, I wanted to land in the snow so bad.
At least I know what my airplane does in the snow. But then again I think most people stay home and watch tv.
Those king fox tires are sure fun.

The slideing sideways post reminds me of a landing on a lake I made last spring. (northern MN) It was getting warm and all the snow was melted and the ice was wet and slippery. I landed next to an island, and as I was rolling out past the island, a crosswind caught me and all of a sudden, there I was slideing sideways on those smooth Kingfox tires. Got my attention, but no damage done. Maybe if I had practiced it....... anyway, now the lakes are froze again and I can start landing on them again. Jim Chuk, Avid MK IV, Jabiru
