Funny, I've never heard a weather briefer use the term "Linish". However, I have heard them say "Stormy" before.
What exactly is "Linish"? Does that translate into sitting in an FBO tindiminum (AKA trailer), partaking of the gastronomic delights one might peruse in a vending machine for a plethora of days waiting for the "Stormy" weather to clear?

It comes from the fact that when Len Leggette is planning a flight somewhere the weather usually turns bad. Therefore, we say the weather is Lennish or questionable. Stormy is none other than our Bill Boyd.
This all started before your time. In other words, it was a joke.
