Nose wheel info

Can anyone tell me if the nose wheel assembly is the same on a HD and an XL.  I can not find any part numbers for the HD.  Are the steering rods, bearings, gear strut and everything the same?

Larry, look on drawing 6-F-17 bottom center. steering rod is -5 and rod end  is CW-5-12 with jam nut AN316-5R. Jerry

The nose wheel is listed on dwg. # 6-L-0 as NW80CC-Z . The HD main gear is  NOT the same as used on the XL.. The nose gears looks the same but know the nose  gear stop p/n 6-F-10-1 has changed.  Jerry

Jerry, I am building an XL and know of someone who has HD front gear  parts.  I was just wondering if any of the parts were useable on my  XL.  Thanks for the information

The nose wheel on the XL is smaller in diameter then on the HD so the 

fork is also shorter. The strut on the XL might be longer to compensate 

for this. Most of the other parts may be the same. I can't say for sure.
