In my 60 hrs in my new RV-7, I have found the RV to be about the roughest
ride of all of the various GA planes that I have flown. On the other hand
if you can take it, the plane sure can. The stiff construction of the RV
allows a pretty bumpy ride. I find myself slowing down when the turbulence
is bad just for comfort and I don't have to tighten the seat belt as much to
keep my head from hitting the canopy. I do love it in crosswing landings
though as I usually make full stall landings, once it touches, it is through
flying and you have the solid directional control via the rudder, tailwheel
and brakes if you need them.
