Hi! All.
I guess this is intended to apply to all fare paying passenger aircraft ?
Issued by the faceless unelected prats in Brussels.
Applologies to David Joyce ... but it is relevant to our hobby ?
Happy days

Another example of EU interference

SIR - If anybody was still in any doubt about the mindless, intransigent
interference of the EU into all aspects of British life perhaps the European
Council Regulation EEC No. 3922/91 Annex III (EU-OPS) would provide a degree
of enlightenment.
This regulation is designed to make air travel safer' and from July 15,
2008, all passenger airlines within member countries of the EU must adhere
to numerous new regulations thereof. Included in these regulations is the
requirement that each passenger-carrying aircraft must be equipped with
oxygen masks, and chutes must be provided to facilitate the evacuation of
passengers.
These regulations may seem sensible, but they apply to all aircraft, even
those that are incapable of flying at an altitude where oxygen is required,
and those whose passenger door is 4ft from the ground.
Both requirements will exclude the carrying of passengers on the Douglas DC3
aircraft, still in use by airlines around the world.

that also begs the question, what do they classify as an airline, or is it
simply if the passengers pay for their seat, if so
how does one fit a chute etc to a dutches, conquest or for that matter 172
perhaps, all of which are used as charter
A/C.

I know, run as a charity where you fly ppl for free but they make a
manditory donation to your cause : )
