Anyone have experience with a GNS430 with GS in a Yak or otherwise. I want
to update my Yak so I can keep IFR current. Replacing the Russian Com (as
much as I hate to) and clock with a 430 connected to a VOR/LOC/GS indicator
seems too be a space saving way to do so.

Scott,
Have no experience with the 430, but do with the NARCO 122/D GS/LOC. Fits
perfect in the clock panel cut out. Will have to rout out the whole 2-3 mm.
Also convert the hard case on the quick clip wiring harness to a soft
bundle. The hard case does not have the clearance in the back to not rub on
the huge wiring bundle for the panel instruments that comes left to right
on the left side of the panel. Did install a Garmin 396 for moving map and
weather. So did not sacrafice the Russian radio as a result.
