Can anyone suggest a good general aviation airport to go into following Oshkosh for a day or two for business ... would need to get a rental car?

Thanks !

Len:

My brother used to live in St. Louis so I went there a few times, flying into KSUS, mainly because it was convenient to him. It is your standard “business” GA airport. Not the cheapest, though cheaper than KSTL, but has all the services. ST. Louis has several business GA airports though (the class Ds on the chart). Airnav would give you fuel prices. The AOPA directory tells you about rental car availability. You usually have to go to one of these business GA airports to get rental cars on site.

Len, on the west side of town, try Million Air at KSUS. They have their own rental cars and the rates are cheaper than normal guys (Hertz, etc.). On the east side across the river, go to Ideal Air at KCPS. Both choices are very friendly and professional.
