Will do.

I'll be driving in with my wife, Lodja. Then will make a bit of a  

vacation of it

by meandering back through some of the national parks.

Will also pick up some beer !

Jeff, Dave, etc.

  

 I wanted to let you all know that Lynne and I will not be at Rough River this year.  We have planned a vaction in early 2009 that will be quite expensive and given the cost of gas, it won't work this year.  Hopefully we'll fly in in 2009.  

  

 Dave, if you are driving in, don't forget to load up on beer.  I don't recall if it is a dry county or what, but we had a tough time getting it last year.  I know gas is important, but one must remember priorities.  

  

 Hope everyone enjoys it -- see you all at the 2009 fly-in.

 Meant to put in my earlier e-mail and forgot.  (The memory is the second thing to go).  If you are combining the fly-in with vacation, be sure to see the Mammoth Cave.  It is about a half hour from the park and well worth it.  Lynne and I really enjoyed it last year.

You are right, it is a dry county, but that's a minor inconvenience, compared to the gas purchase

absurdities facing those in the U.K.



Mammoth Cave is on our list as well as Great Smoky Mountains and Cape Hatteras / Kitty Hawk.
