				Guys (& girls?),
As simple question that probably won't result in extensive debate. On the inboard end of the flaps, the nylon control plate 6W1-3-1, attached to the first rib, is shown in drawing 6-W-1 as slotted horizontally in the center and attached with the long side parallel to the top side of the flap. All photos in the construction guide show it mounted vertically with a center hole without a slot. The drawings make more sense to me from an operational standpoint. Which is correct?

				Lynn--
The original design was for a hole to be drilled in the plastic, however,
 a number
of builders have had some difficulty aligning the hole with the flap pin.
 The fix for
the potential misalignment was to elongate the hole into a slot. Either one
 is fine
to use depending on your final assembly and alignment

I must be about as far along as you. I noticed the same discrepancy. I have
read in ZAC info. to always follow the plans in case of discrepancies, so I
went with the horizontal alignment as on the drawings. I drilled a #40 hole in
the center of the nylon pad and at the proper location on the rib. I clecoed
them together and drilled and riveted the pad to the rib. I countersunk the
rivets and set them flush. Then I drilled two .25" holes, at the extremities
of the slot and opened the slot with a Dremel.
