Perhaps I missed it in the plans or the builder's guides, but I can't find any information on how to affix the outer flashing to the canopy at the fore and aft ends.

In my plane, because of the curvature of the fuselage, the fore and aft ends of the flashing, after being cut to match the line of the canopy, stick out quite a bit from the side of the fuselage.

What is the "good" way to get these ends to adhere to the canopy line?

I can carefully bend the sheet so it is pretty close, but it still seems to me that I need some kind of attachment, perhaps a 3/32 rivet, at the pointed corners to avoid problems.

Other ideas, comments?

Hi Andy,
The forward end of the flashing can be secured by a small aluminum rivet
in the same fashion as the current 650 canopy, or you can use a recess
head screw with a nylock nut on the inside. I curved the trail edge
enough to get it to pull in and it's held with adhesive. On the trail
edge that slides against the rear top skin and bow, I placed a patch of
felt fabric to keep the knife edge from dragging on the skin edge and it
saves the paint!
The rear rubber trim captures a small segment of the flashing as well.

I glued the rear of mine down with the same weatherstrip adhesive I used to glue the rubber trim on and also glued the trim on over the edge of the flashing. This might work on the front also, but mine has an aluminum flashing along the front edge that is overlapped over the side flashing.
