What I would like to see is a cap and shaft arrangement similar to the Cessna 150 front axle. The two caps take the place of the aluminum spacers we use but fit over the shaft end and are captured by the axle bolt. Bearing pre-load is set by using different thickness spacers.



A retro fit kit would consist of a shorter than stock shaft C two end caps and some spacers.
