Instead of a contactor I am considering a master disconnect switch as
used on race cars. My battery must go behind the cockpit for W&B so the
battery leads will pass the cockpit. Therefore the disconnect would not
require anything extra. It would be located in an accessible area. Any
thoughts?

Would the lead between battery(+) and the switch
be as short as if it were between battery(+) and
a contactor?
