|
|
The Australian RAA has come out with an airworthiness directive
requiring a secondary latching mechanism for the 601 canopy. Note they
suggest that power must be maintained in the event a canopy opens as a
decrease in power will lead to a sudden nose down attitude

This is nothing new and it all has been covered before. It was put out after discussion with the Zodiac XL users here in Australia as a safety precaution until more info is learned. it combines all the information put out and allows us to continue to fly . a sound decision I think lets put safety first.
Its just a secondary latching system to ensure safe flying till more info is gained..
