My apologies to all !!! (Is it Altzheimers, or what?) Someone asked if the front bulkhead isn't fastened to the prop assembly, what is it doing? That really got me to thinking. Since my memory of the forward spinner bulkhead seemed to be so fuzzy, I went looking through my photos. Lo and Behold !! My forward bulkhead is not Van's at all. It is William Wynne's excellent fiberglass unit made especially for this application. See photo. What a dunce!

Sorry for my sorry performance !

Jay,
Thanks for clearing that up. Nice looking installation. My "organic RAM" is fails often, so don't sweat it.

And just for the archives here is a pic of the Corvair with a wood prop and the Van's front bulkhead.

Also Aerolite is having a machined crush plate made that will have the proper spacers machined into it at the correct height for the wood prop and the warp drive. We are also going to sell the spinner pre drilled and indexed ready to bolt on.

I have just finished making the brackets for the aluminum intake and it is about 1 lb lighter than the SS ones.
More great products to come.

Jeff

When do you anticipate the machined crush plate be available for sale?
