As all these threads are NPT threads, it's usual to use PTFE tape or PTFE
paste.

I was wondering if Teflon tape would work, sounds like it will, makes the
job much easier.

Loctite 638 works well, no chance of tape getting into the lines.Fitting can
be removed with heat later, if needed.

All Airplane A&P's advise against tape. Some can come of and cause a
blocking. The advise is to use Teflon (PTFE) paste instead.
