Hi All,



All of this cold weather lately has me planning to attend SnF in sunny

Lakeland.  I think it may be time to start planning a good old fashion

"Engineering" meeting of the sort familiar to generations of Flight Crafters

and Custom Flight Creations alumni!  Of course all are welcome.



Europa is planning a big presence at SnF this year. I don't yet know their

schedule for events, but I'd like to invite Dave Stanbridge to the party, er

meeting.



Anyone else planning to go this year?

Hi Ira



Yes myself and Ray will be along Friday and Saturday or Sunday. Two years

ago a load of Brits went out on the Saturday night to a fine American

cultural institution nearby call I think "Hooters". Seemed to remember it

was quite an 'interesting' evening! 



It was the last meal I had with William before his and Paul's fatal accident

so I wouldn't mind raising a bottle or two to their memory.



No doubt Paddy, Nigel, Steve etc will find themselves in Florida around that

time.

Yes I believe Hooters was originally

chosen to enhance the technical

discussions regarding structural

engineering and composite polymers!

Hi all,



Well my Europa is spread all over the hanger at the moment as I have

had to pull the engine.  It started leaking oil at 650 hours and now

at 850 hours it just making too much of a smelly mess.  Its in at LEAF

and they will have to split the case to inspect and re seal it..



Anyhow, I am going to be traveling for the next month so it is

unlikely to be together in time for Sun ' N fun, so please have a beer

and an ogle for me at Hooters.

Sorry to hear about the engine.  I hope the inspection results are

not too painful!



I'll try to report back on the latest observed stress and strain figures

from the engineering meeting to you.  



I don't think I'll Europa down to SnF myself as I did not care for the 

lack of mowing or the lack of crowd control at the fight line in the

past three or so years.  Commercial to Tampa works well for me.
