The instructions for my Westach CHT and EGT gages say they are a differential temperature system and are calibrated for a "Cold Junction" of 75 degrees F.
This means, for each degree the cold junction is less than 75 degrees the gage will read one degree high and for each degree above 75 degrees at the cold junction the gage will read one degree low.
Can someone tell me what the cold Junction is, and where it is so I will have a clue as to what the temperature there might be on any given day? Is it somewhere in the cable or at the gage?
