Thanks George. I’m glad I asked about it. I’ll wait until I start to fit stuff together before I decide what to do. My stop plate just barely hits the top support.

You are correct Curt. I found that using the kit supplied parts, I was concerned that the top strut cover, 7L1-5J, would be coming down on the top support possibly bending or breaking the bolts that hold it in place. My solution was to add a couple of .125 spacers to raise the top plate about an 1/8 of an inch above the top plate.
And yes, later I did put longer bolts through the bottom bracket with proper thread extensions showing. I think somewhere on my DVD there are additional pictures that show the longer bolts.
