Selection of Suitable Operating Fluids for

Rotax Engine Type 912 and 914 (Series)



Service Letter Revisions include:

 Addition of fuel recommendations allowing E10 Automotive fuel (MoGas) with 10% Ethanol content.

 Avgas Fuel Additives "Decalin Runup" and "Alcor TCP" have been found suitable for use in 912/914 engine types.

 Additional general engine operating tips.



Important note concerning Ethanol blended fuels:

The use of 10% ethanol content fuels has been approved for the engine only (including internal fuel system/lines/hoses/fittings) and does not include aircraft systems.  It is the responsibility of the Aircraft Manufacturer to verify the compatibility of the entire fuel system of the aircraft.

Good update Roger, 

I have used thousands of Gallons of Regular grade auto gas with ethanol in 582 Kitfox with out any issues yet. 



No melted fuel lines, melted fuel tanks  blablabla



I know what works for me  and locals so the rest is just fear mongering form the Armchair captains  LOL 



I have no KREEM in my tanks either.  



So it works for me, ethanol is not my choice but I forced to use it .
