Rotaxers,

I am installing a Rotax Ring Mount on a 912 rotax engine. I am at the point where I have to disconnect the electrical connectors to slip the ring mount on.

My problem: I have a two mag kill switch wires already installed in the connector. These wires are preventing me from separating the two connectors. Is there a tool or shortcut way to remove the wire from the connector?

I hope I'm making myself clear.

Thanks,

Tommy Walker in Alabama

Clear as my wife's chillie.
No not really!
I know what you mean the 2 reed wires that loop through the black heat shrink stuff?

Get a rivet and grind the shank down to make a small screw driver blade and use this inside the opened block connector to lift the little plastic lock and pull out the wire and metal connector. Don't pull too hard:Should come easy when you have the lock lifted. They just push in with a "click"
Hope that all made sense.

Kev,
That did the trick! Thanks a lot. I owe you a cold one the next time you are in Alabama.
