Link gave me: "Video not available in your region". (Didn't know that the
internet could discriminate like that.)
Read this week that aluminum block with no cylinder liners is being tried
gain; another etching process it seems. Don't recall the make/model (but, I
certainly won't be buying it.)
Somehow, I doubt we would hear about 'real' dreams on the GG!

Is it the one in the video link above?
When I was a kid I had a Vega with the original 4 cylinder aluminum
cylinders. It burned a qt oil every 100 miles and helped to keep the
mosquito population down with it's smoke trail....

The technology used by General Motors for the Vega engine was used
successfully by Porche for years before being adopted by GM. The
average car owner lacked the knowledge (or instruction) of how
important antifreeze is to the prevention of corrosion in the block.
