Does airbox mount plate need a gasket?

Is there any reason to use a gasket between the airbox mount plate and the fuel injection servo body? My bolts are already safety wired and there's no apparent gap. The plans don't show a gasket either....

I don't use on on mine either.  Make sure it fits flush all around,  

though.
