Yesterday I went up to test plane after OH my dead vac pump. I did a roll to the left and the stick jerked back and forth 2 or 3 inches at first part of roll, rapidly maybe 4 or 5 times, then was normal, never happeded before, did rt roll and it was ok. Anyone had this happen? any clues?

Sure as heck if I say "they all do it" some one will argue that their's don't. So let me say that all the one's I have rolled with the stick at full deflection and medium to slow airspeed have exhibited stick" talk back", or mild jerking. quite unsellling but harmless.

I speak with no significant aerodynamic credentials but with a data base of thousands of RV-6A aileron rolls worth of experience.

This is normal if you have max throw in the ailerons. Call Vans to confirm, I went through the same thing.

Charlie,
We discussed this when I flew the acro off your phase 1.
You are experiencing normal roll buffet found in all RV's at max deflection. It is nothing to be concerned about.
Best
Mike

Yep..its normal. Although seems a bit violent from your description. Both of my RV's would just "pulse" feedback at full deflection. Especially to the left.
