MGL has preannounced their new XTreme EFIS over on the Yahoo user-to-user
group. Working units will be shown at Oshkosh with first deliveries towards
the end of the year. I'm pushing for final dimensions so folks can design it
into their panels now. Picture attached, more information here:

Interesting....

Thanks for sharing - I was close to pulling the trigger on one of the new Dynon D6's.

I think I'll hold off for a bit now until I find out more about this one. Nice to have another choice.

All this glass panel stuff is a moving target. They are all essentially
computers so they are obsolete the day you buy them. I see two approaches:
delay your decision as long as possible or just choose one and be content
with what you have.

Aside from choosing an instrument you are choosing a company. And Dynon and
MGL are different. Dynon products evolve more slowly but the docs and
software are more stabile. MGLs product line evolves rapidly so the docs can
lag. On the other hand MGL's CEO is very active on the Yahoo list and it
often happen that you can make a feature request or report a bug and it is
fixed in a few days or weeks.

The way all the electronic devices are improving over the months (instead of over the years)
I have thought that waiting to buy the instruments untill ready to install them, is a wise thing.
