Hello all,
Europa ZK-MEE Xs mono, kit no 613, Rotax 912s / Airmaster VP prop, finally made its first flight today on a beautiful clear and calm day in the south of New Zealand at Taieri airfield. It flew beautifully hands off and doesn't seem to need any aileron or rudder trim. Hard to descend and land as it just wanted to keep flying! Empty weight is 866 pounds.

Many thanks to Tim Ward, Nev Eyre, Bud Yerly, John and Roger at Europa and others who have helped me many times during the build.

Regards to all and happy flying,

Keith Hickling,
New Zealand.

Congratulations Keith and what a fine specimen it appears to be. Very nice indeed.

Now what is that green stuff on which you have parked the aircraft? We haven't got any of that over here. What a blast being able to take-off on beautiful grass like that!!

I'm sure you will have many hours of enjoyment ahead - Say, who is going to be the first to fly a Europa across the Tasman?

Cheers

Well done Keith.
Now you need some "places visited" stickers in the decor ! Like we just did France,Spain, Portugal, Gibraltar, Majorca, ...home........We'll settle for townships on North and South Island NZ for starters !
