I'm keen on an affordable, older GPS if anyone has upgraded and has one just gathering dust. Was too slow for the last two on the list 
Doesn't need to be in perfect condition, does need to work (!). Any Garmin preferred but will consider anything out there...

Garmin 296 for sale. I bought it new, and it works great in the air and in the car. Lots of accessories: AirGizmo panel mount, car bean bag mount, yoke mount, external antenna, external speaker/power cord, 128M data card for driving that covers about half the U.S. at a time, AC power, owner's manual, more.
$350 plus shipping

I have a Magellan sky star plus. The database is quite old and I am not even sure if updates are available any longer (company went out of business- but another company was selling updates as of several years ago). But it would be a real entry level price. I paid almost $700. runs on 4 AA batteries or cig lighter power. Works fine.
Would let it go for $150 including shipping.
