I received this letter regarding use tax on my RV-8 requesting further documentation. 



In short C what is 'an insurance jacket indicating the value placed on the aircraft'?

Technically you need to pay tax on EVERYTHING. So if you bought product X on the internet your supposed to send the tax to the state.

Sounds to me they want proof that you paid tax for the plane and or parts. If the plane is done, it may be too late to do the following.



Here in Kalifornia the best way to do it is to send tax in on the wing, fuse, and tail kit because we all know a plane consists of a fuse, wing and tail right .

What is an occupational tax with regards to property taxes, besides school taxes, and property taxes? What is this occupational tax, I am not working why do I have to pay it?
