Hi Nick,
It looks like we are going to have a very large turnout for our Grand Opening (BIPE INC.) September 12th 11am - 3pm at Andrews Murphy airport. Can you bring a Lightning over to show people? I'll probably be first in line. I'm saving my cash for one!
We're going to have giveaways, refreshments, and hopefully some biplane rides for the kids. We've invited the Blairsville EAA chapter which is very strong and we have homebuilders on the field.
Would love to see you.

Arion Aircraft and Jabiru USA are going on our own mini Light Sport tour on Thursday the 18th of June.
Our first stop will be Danville Kentucky , KDVK identifier, about noon time, should be there for a few hours.
The second stop will be in Ashland Kentucky, KDWV, around about 3 or so, and same thing be there for a few hours.
A couple of groups at both airports have shown interest to get a look so we are going on the road.
So any one interested in seeing and flying a Lightning let us know to plan. We will be taking N325AL the LS-1 SLSA Lightning.
Also I will post our stops for our tour next week to the NC SC area.

Lisa C Sounds like great fun. I wish I still lived in TN and I'd fly up for it. I see that you own a Pulsar XP. I'm sure that you'd love the Lightning and would be an easy transition for you. Good luck in your event and in your endeavors. Brian W.

Thanks Brian! I really do think the Lightning is an "enhanced Pulsar", with a great community of builders and flyers, and top notch factory support. Sorry we'll miss you at the grand opening, but hope to see you at an upcoming event one way or another once we get moved in.

Just wondering if this event at Andrews, NC, is open to anyone on the Lightning list. If so, and if Nick is going to have a Lightning there, I might try to get there as well so I could get some photos of the event for the Lightning Newsletter. Of course the weather will play a definite role since it would be about a 2+30 one way trip for me. At any rate, if Nick does show up, how about you taking some photos and send in a report for the Lightning Newsletter. I am sure everyone would enjoy reading about your event.

That would be great. We will welcome everyone with open arms, a nice airport crowd, and food and drink. I'd be happy to do a write-up for the newsletter either way.
Yes, hope for great flying weather. We have a hangar if anyone needs to stay overnight.
Hope to see as many as can make it.

Unfortunately I can not personally make it. I will be giving a Jabiru engine and Maintenance seminar this week end I will have to try for another date to fly the Lightning out.

Unfortunately I can not personally make it. I will be giving a Jabiru engine and Maintenance seminar this week end I will have to try for another date to fly the Lightning out.

Just wondering if this event at Andrews, NC, is open to anyone on the Lightning list. If so, and if Nick is going to have a Lightning there, I might try to get there as well so I could get some photos of the event for the Lightning Newsletter. Of course the weather will play a definite role since it would be about a 2+30 one way trip for me. At any rate, if Nick does show up, how about you taking some photos and send in a report for the Lightning Newsletter. I am sure everyone would enjoy reading about your event.

I am sure you have probably thought of this, but I would highly recommend that you come to Shelbyville for the upcoming 3rd annual Lightning Fly-In. It is scheduled for Saturday the 26th of September but many folks will be arriving on Friday. There will be some hangar activities that afternoon/evening - grilling brats, creeper races, hangar talk and general BS sessions. Saturday will be the main events - demo rides, forums, etc. I am sure you would enjoy meeting other Lightning builders and flyers. The event is open to everyone wanting to find out more about this fantastic aircraft.
