				Lynn,
I could not find Al tubes bends of correct diameter although I spent a good
time looking. Al tubes would save weight.
I have attached a link to the source of my SS tubes and bends. They are high
 quality food grade product.
Doing the job at home sounds like the way to go; or you could start in the
 hangar and then decide.

Thanks for the info, Peter. I'll have a look around the US first, and
if I have to, I'll use your vendor.

What I like about doing it at home is the concrete floor....lets the
engine hoist roll much easier than the carpeted dirt of the hangar .
But you are correct, it would be easier to start at the hangar, and
then decide...based on temperature, etc. No reason to fold those
 wings unless I have to.

				Good morning, Pete-
Would these be the size bends needed for the Jabiru intake
manifolding tubes? I believe they are 1 -1/4" in size. I'll search
 their website....thank you. Pete.

I went to their website, Pete, and lo and behold, they're in the US!
Just goes to show what happens when I "played" photographer for 22
years, and sort of lost track of what was happening in the automotive
field, and I never got started into the aircraft field...except for
 model airplanes...until 2004. Sheeeesh!
Back in the day, I used to be a dealer for Cyclone Exhaust products,
and I would get all sorts of exhaust pipe tubing shapes from them,
and weld up race car exhaust systems. Now it looks like I'll be
heading in that direction again....kinda like coming full circle, eh?
