I suspect my problem with sensitive pitch control arose from the fact that
most of my prior time was in Cessnas (150/152/172) that have very
insensitive pitch control. I tended to overcontrol my 601HD in rounding
out on landing, followed by another overcontrol when I sent the nose too
high, followed by . . . - you get the idea! I had a helpful instructor
who had me do low-and-overs along the runway until I improved. This might
be a useful idea for a new 601 pilot before he/she actually touches down
for the first time, i.e. get the feel of the pitch control near the ground
 before doing it for real.
