Deer are ruthless in their attacks. I personally know 5 people who were
attacked by deer using a flanking attack method. In all these cases the
deer waited until the front of the vehicle had passed and then rammed
into the side of the vehicle. An attack that is impossible to counter.
I will be using a pasture in front of my house eventually, and deer are
my biggest fear. They are impossible to predict.

Having hit a deer landing on my home strip a couple of months ago, the
whole concept has traction here.
BTW, I hit and killed the little dear with my main gear while deep in
the flare landing at dusk. Ironically, I had taken off an hour earlier
from a hard surface strip with a herd of deer feeding on the grass
crosswind strip (between 2 deer stands). I was all eyes when landing at
home and it didn't make a bit of difference.
