I am looking to buy, or make a tow bar for use with a tug for my YAK-52. I see a drawing of a tug tow bar in the manuals page 439 chapter 12.  part number 529800-70 "Furca De Tractare"

Does anyone have one for sale, have any detailed drawing or photos? I have the hand tow bar, but would like this for use with a tug. Any thoughts?

I have the factory (tubular aluminum) towbar. I can take some pictures if you like. It's awfully long, however. I also had a small, collapsable hand towbar with my last yak-52. It was non-original, but very clever. It was essentially a yoke with two tube segments that were positioned on either side of the nosewheel axle. The I.D. of these tubes was the same as the I.D. of the nosewheel axle (where your hand towbar is inserted). There was then an internal tube that slid through one tube, the axle, then the other tube and was secured with pins. Very light, very secure. This version was also collapsable to fit on the back deck. You could probably make one with both handle and pintle type attachments. Maybe I can get a pic of this thing from the guy I sold my previous Yak to. I've wanted to make a similar one since then.

Hi,

I have the original compact/folding tow bar. It's aYak size russian tow bar but the advantage is that it has pins that allow you to fold it in two parts making it compact enough to get in a 18T luggage compartment.
I can tke measures and close pictures of it if it can help.
Just say if you want.

Kind regards
