I just replaced 6"-wheels and brakes from my 701 with 8" wheels to fit
larger tires. A builder in a hanger near mine, who is building two planes,
immediately bought my old wheels and brakes and asked me if I know of anyone
else who has a set to sell.
If anyone wants to sell their 6" wheels and brakes from a 701, pls email me,

Les:
I am concerned about the prop clearance with my 701 and am considering
adding the block to the end of the nose gear strut to increase prop
clearance. I would imagine that the 8" nose wheel would result in
increased prop clearance. Do you know if anyone has just added the 8"
nose gear to increase prop clearance? I would guess that it might
result in nose gear first landings but that is pure speculation.

Stan,
I'm the wrong guy to ask. Suggest you call the factory or read what Sebastien had to say at http://www.zenith.aero/profiles/blogs/testing-larger-bushwheel-tires. I went over a little hilly area on a grass field last year and dented in my prop tip, costing $300 to repair (Warpdrive), so I worry a little about this.
But maybe we worry too much. For example, On the way home to Cloverdale Ca. from Copper State, in Nevada, Doug Dugger mangled the tips of his prop on his 701 in a dust devil. Doug is very resourceful. Rather than worry how to get home he simply took a hack saw, carefully cut over an inch from the three blades on his prop, and kept going. So a “light” prop strike does not necessarily have to shut you down.
