Called Simple Green Corporate Offices looking for a local source for Simple Green Extreme (non corrosive simple green degreaser). She sent me to Home Depot. Home Depot brand ProHD degreaser IS simple green extreme! $4.00/gallon cheaper than aircraft spruce and no shipping charges!

Wow. that is great if they reformulated the stuff the sell at Home Depot. They used to make two products (an aircraft version and an industrial version) and the Home Depot variety was corrosive to aluminum. In looking at their web site, it looks like they simply dropped the corrosive version in their product line.

Bought a gallon yesterday. Under the ProHD label, though it still says simple green. Works great. Says non-corrosive. About $14/gallon.

Aircraft Cleaning – Is Simple Green® safe for cleaning aircraft?
Simple Green manufactures products specifically designed for use on aircraft. Products available on the market are Extreme Simple Green® Aircraft & Precision Cleaner and Simple Green® Pro HD. These products were initially developed for the aircraft industry and extensive testing shows that they are safe for use on aluminum, plastics, rubbers and high tech alloys, even in the most extreme circumstances. These products conform to both Boeing D6-17487P spec for general aircraft exterior cleaning and Pratt & Whitney PWA 36604revC spec for aircraft engine cleaning.

Is this the stuff that's OK? I see nothing about aircraft use, just safe for aluminum.

That's the stuff that the Simple Green Rep told me was the same product as Simple Green Extreme for Aircraft.
