Dear Kolbers,<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Since my engine quit in flight due to bad polyurethane material in the pickup interface line, I learnt from some of you that an “ALL METAL “ fuel pick up is available from our good friend Travis at TNK.

I ordered the same for both the tanks and found it really good. The fitting is soldered to SS tubing and the whole line can be slid through the rubber grommet, into the tank.

Surely some peace of mind during flying :- ))

Thanks,

Mahesh Iyer

That would be me Mahesh ! I am glad you opted for this solution, it is the best, most reliable way to feed fuel form the top draw tanks you can get. Kolb has been good at updating and improving their planes over the years, and they don't do it just because they are bored and have nothing better to do. Kolb does updates like pickup tubes, gear, and others for a very good reason. You will have many years of flying, and not have to worry about your fuel pickup tubes again Smile

Mike

Hello Mike,
Thanks for your post regarding the availability of an all metal pick up from Kolb. It really got me to check with TNK about its availability.

I suppose TNK should publish all periodic improvements in their Kolb airplanes month or year wise to help us know and improve on existing design.

I will ask Travis about it..

Thanks,
Mahesh Iyer
