Every year at this time there is a Santa train that runs through Appalachia and ends up at Kingsport. They always have some celebrity on it throwing candy and trinkets out the back, and the kids at each stop are waiting to catch the goodies - sort of an Appalachian Madi Gras... this year it was Wynonna Judd as the resident celebrity.
Here are some pictures I got of the train in Fort Blackmore, VA. about 20 miles north of here, another one coming through a tunnel, and one crossing the big trestle just north of Clinch Mountain.
