Thanks to all who answered my inquiry about the door pulls. I plan on using

a piece of aluminum bent ot the right shape and will 

attach as suggested by others with some epoxy and small bolts. Didn't want

to cut an access hatch and got some good suggestions

for getting the nuts & washer inside. My doors have "adjusted themselves"

while sitting for the last year or so and are pretty tight

while pulling them closed so will take a door pull mounted firmly. Thanks

again for all the answers and suggestions.

I used some U shaped aluminum, I seem to recall it might have been .5" x 1"

x .5", but to be sure I would have to go and check.



What I did was to cut a slot in the door frame (in the back corner area)that

was wide enough to slip one face of the U channel inside the door skin.

Once I have that done I then put Redux and flox on the surface and slipped

it in.  I seem to recall that I held it in place with sheet metal screws

that had a hexagon head which allowed me to tighten them with a wrench.  I

looks pretty neat and this method spreads the load to a fair area on the

inside of the door skin.  I hope this all makes sense.

Paul,

Has the slot had a tendency to pull out at all. I understand how you did it

but thought that

would weaken the inside skin a little, especially with a little too much

pressure from someone

who just got in and started pulling.

Yes, the skin does tend to pull out a bit, but or far (400 hours / 2 years)

it hasn't been a problem.  My doors are fairly tight, so it takes  fair

amount of "pull" to get it to close.
