Merry Christmas!

  

 Also: Happy Hanukkah! Good Kwanzaa! Better Boxing Day, Happy New Year ...did I miss any??

  

 Just sent my 2010 program letter off to our friendly public servants at the FSDO. Yes, we are still required to so each year. When I served in the Green Machine we were taught, if captured, only to give Name, Rank, and Serial Number. Using the same reasoning I only included what I thought was required in the program letter:

  

 - My name

 - My home address

 - Aircraft make and model

 - Aircraft registration number

 - Airport name where the aircraft is based

 - List of events, dates and locations where I intend to display/demo said aircraft in 2010

  

 Since removal of the 300NM op area, I really haven't seen any clear guidance on what is the minimum required data to submit. My understanding is that proficiency flying can be done wherever and whenever it is legal, without prior notification.

According to my local FSDO, that is all you need to submit.  Don't forget to drop them a fax if you add a place you want to demo/show your aircraft!
