While I have the Chinese grease gun, I don't think it works all that well. I had Zirc fittings on another Chang and greasing it was VASTLY easier.
All but two of the grease fittings on the CJ-6A can be replaced with Zirc fittings, yes? There are two that have to stay the old style up at the top of the inner MLG brace arm, correct?
What kind of Zirc fittings do I need to replace the current ones? And where can I get them? (Doug chime in here if you're the man.

The answer is maybe sorta, if your careful.First zerks can be purchased at most any parts store.
But extreme caution must be exercised to purchase or at least shim them up to the proper grip length. This is especially true in the nose gear. If you buy a zerk with to long a grip length you will damage the bearing and cause the nose gear to steer hard or in the worst case lock up.
Yes, all but the two zerks in the top of main gear trunion can be changed to US style zerks. These two must be the button head type so as to not shear off when the gear is raised.
Yawl be careful out there!

I got mine for my YAK 52 and 50 from Autozone Parts store. I got 7 mm I think…It has been 6 years ago since I did that so the memory on exact size is not so good. I just pulled one and took it with me. I have a bunch of spares in my tool box to replace those that get blocked up.

What I do when greasing the top of the gear, is remove the Chinese button grease fitting. I than screw in a standard Zirc and insert grease. When done I simply replace the standard Zirc with the button ones.
