Getting ready to put the static lines in the tailcone before the space gets really tight.

Are most folks running the static line forward on the right or left side of the airplane? I'm trying to decide which side to install the T.

Thanks,
Phil

Put the T on the top equal distant from each so that any condensate will run down hill and out.  Then run it to one of the sides.

I'm going up the right side as I'm pretty filled up on the left side with the fat battery wire taking up a lot of the available space

I'm planning on running up right side, right under the right baggage
compartment cover, so it doesn't have to dip down under baggage floor.
Tee near top of tail cone, then angle down and right after passing
through a grommet in next bulkhead.

Left side as my dual GRT AHRS is mounted aft on that side. Dual means twice the fun in this case.

Plan on TWO lines - one for static going forward, and one for pitot going aft. Assuming you plan on putting your AHARS in the tail. Can't say for all of them, but my GRT AHARS is where you connect both pitot & static.

I have the Dynon SkyView, and you need pitot, static, and an AOA tube
going to the tailcone area. I also ran the static to the IP area for
an alternate static switch.....

Is anyone running two pitot lines? I went and installed the Van's pitot as well as a (not yet purchased) heated one on the other wing. Is there any value in using an unheated pitot on the back up instruments? (If I lose power there won't be any electricity to a heated pitot anyway, although certainly the primary instruments could fail for reasons other than power loss.)

Would you share on or off list your impressions/ salient points on the
Skyview? On or off list. It is probably at the top of my list right
now, with GRT and AFS close behind. Thanks,
Kelly
